Yeah he is...it's so lovely to use the deaths of thousands to your own political gain...although the families of 9/11 victims don't like him too much...
And to respond to stygianwolf...yeah he cleaned up the mess....real quickly, so quick that all the rubble was long gone before a real investigation was made. He then shipped off the "evidence" to be melted down. Nice, real nice. Of course if Bush hadn't blocked the investigation for so many months, that may not have been as big of a deal. Check out www.st911.org (a site run by the families of 9/11 victims)...perhaps you may think a little differently about the whole situation.

Sure the firefighters union is at odds with every city and the corrupt cops Giuliani had to oust probably don't like him much and I know of one lesbian who's blogging for Hilary and can't stand him, but his record speaks for itself, undeniable by any opponent. Beyond 9/11, he is the man that cleaned up one of the largest cities of the world in a small amount of time.......
He is very loved in NYC and this country......And even if he doesn't end up as an individuals first choice for President, trying to discredit his achievements will leave a bad taste in the mouths of all registered voters

maybe if we discovered a touch greater approximately him. perfect now, we don't recognize something approximately Giuliani's adventure different than his term as NYC mayor. we don't recognize his platform, or what his perspectives are different than he's a republican. He did his interest on 9/11, that's decrease than i'm able to assert that Bush did for Katrina victims. yet that on my own would not qualify him for president. And might the individuals help a divorced candidate who left his spouse for yet another and much youthful woman? appears like that could be too plenty for the neocons. I do think of regardless of the indisputable fact that, that Giuliani might do greater for the individuals of united statesa. than say, McCain. there is merely some thing approximately that guy i myself do in comparison to.

He's using the fact that he's the best mayor in the history of NYC to win the nomination. He would still be the best mayor ever without 9/11. If you read about the speechs he gave last week, it was the first time he avoided talking about 9/11 and talked about his platform to reform the Republican Party.

It's the only way Rudy could ever win the GOP nomination. He certainly can't run on the "perfect" character issue. He's liberal on gay rights, gun control, and abortion rights, all contrary to the Republican platform. While he should be commended for his leadership during 9-11, he's also known for being too arrogant, brash, and abrasive. He will still be a formidable candidate if he wins the Republican nomination, but he's got to win it first.

I remember Guiliani being portrayed as beyond reproach, a hero of his city. But one thing bothers me. The lack of support for Guiliani from the firefighters and police officers of New York City. They were the first responders, they put their lives on the line and they hold a lot of weight with me. If they dissent, I have to ask why and hold their opinion in good regard. I don't really have any bad feelings about this man, I stand with him on the social issues. But there are a long line of police officers in my family, and I know they stick together like glue - and they honor the few politicians who do right by them. Why won't they give Rudy their support?

If they knew about Giuliani's part in 911, the American public would see Guiliani hanging from a wild oak tree. He's as dirty and guilty as they come and riding on the shirtails of the Devil !

It wasn't just his handling of NYC after 9/11. He also did an excellent job as a States Attorney in NY, and was the driving force in cleaning up much of NYC's problems with vagrants, graffiti, law enforcement, etc. He may have his faults (who of us don't), but his actions speak for themselves.

9/11 happened on his watch, the biggest event of the 21st century thus far. He did have a career before that. He has experience that no one else has.
Would you rather Giligan for his witty slapstick?
