guidance counselor?

Question

I am interested in this field (Guidance Counsilor) and am considering this to be a possible carreer path to follow. Though i have no clue where to start I was looking for answer on prerequisites,schools,course everything neccersary to work in this field. I am a resident of Toronto,Canada so please post any info i can use here.

You are going to want to get into Psychology or Sociology, also you are going to have to be able to learn how to quickly tell people which courses and prerequisites they will need for vocations....
