CAT = (C + A + T)CAT
Move CAT to the right hand side,
0 = (C + A + T)CAT - CAT
Factor CAT.
0 = CAT [ C + A + T + 1 ]
Therefore, it follows that
CAT = 0 or
C + A + T = 0
An infinite number of solutions can be generated.

If your are dealing with that each variable is in a cingular equation then.
CAT=
calculate out the equation
c^2(AT) + C(a^2)T + CA(t^2) = CAT
with this equation without knowing what variable you are solving for it makes it impossible to solve so calculating out the equation is all you can do.
