does anyone know what all exactly happens when you go to get your bellybutton pierced? i'm probably going to go to a tattoo parlor to get it done. any recommendations or tips before i go?

TAKE IBUPROFEN or a pain killer before you get it done! trust me haha it helps w/ the pain afterwards
well first you have to fill out information, legall stuff you pay for it they get the tools ready and then they dip the needle into cream, or another anti bacterial cream, then they draw the lines to make sure they pierce it straight, then they take this thing that looks like tongs and pinch the skin and stick the needle through, then they take the needle out and set the belly ring inside then your free to go! haha

ok i got mine done last year. this is what they do.
- you pick the jewlerey you want
- you sit down on a chair or they make you lie down.
- they clean your belly button with rubbing alchohal
- they take a marker and mark where the needle is going in and coming out.
- they take the clamps and pinch some of your skin with it really tight.
- they take a clean, sterelized piercing needle and poke it through to the other side.
- when the needle is in, the take the ring(or barbell) and line it up with the needle and when they slide the needle out, the ring goes in.
thats basically all they do. it doesnt really hurt much after that. during it , all i really felt was the clacmp and i didnt even feel the needle. it was cool..
uhhm tips.:
- after you get it done, clean it 2-3 times a day
-dont wear tight clothes on it
-dont go swimming in a public pool

There's not really anything you need to do prepare except where something loose around your belly button area. They will have you sit in a chair...lean back,,,they'll clean the area with alcohol then clamp your skin with forceps and stick the needle through....really fast...it's doesn't hurt much at all....

they sit you down, on an incline. then a curved needle goes through your skin, then boom! (i don't remember much else-i fainted). it hurt, but if you faint, then you don't feel it! ha ha ha.
