I'm on nuvaring, I had my period on the 22nd of feb. I did not put the new ring in because I had planned on not being on b/c anymore. However I changed my mind and on Wed the 28th I put it back in and had sex that day, as well as the next two.

My breasts have been sore for almost a week even though I'm not due for the next period until March 22nd. I usually get a little sore the few days before.

I have a bladder infection also which I've only ever had one before and that was when I was pregnant before. Don't know if being pregnant and having a bladder infection have anything to do with each other or not... but its the only time I've ever had one! haha.

I haven't been wanting to eat anything much because nothing sounds good and it just makes me kind of ill to think about certain foods.

I might just be way paranoid, but I'm only asking here (instead of taking a pregnancy test) because I think it would be too early to take it (or is it?).

btw, I am married. I guess if you do not state that you are then people assume you are not. I however did not say "boyfriend" OR "husband" in my question. Thanks for your answers.

It is always possible to get pregnant, even when you take your b/c 100% accuratley, that is why none are claimed as 100% effective. It is early to have symptoms, but not impossible, but it would probably only show up with a blood test, so just try to relax, and not think about it. If you are concerned about the birth control during early stages of pg, then call your gyno's office, and they can advise you. They may even bring you in and draw blood to see if and what is your hcg count is, and then you would know for sure. I don't think that a break that short would put you at high risk, if the first day of your period was Feb22, and you put the new ring in on Feb28, then the withdrawl bleeding should've just stopped, and ovulation would not be until March 8, as long as that was the first day and you are on a 28 day cycle, so you would only be like 3 days pg. If you are worried, then call the gyno, that is what they are there for, and you pay them for it, so hey, why not?

I would just like to comment that if you are pg, don't feel like you have to get married for self-image or the sake of the child. I was a single mother because the SOB wanted to be daddy helping with money, so he quit his job to try to avoid support and I haven't seen him since I was 5 month pg, It was the best thing to ever happen to me and my daughter. I have a lot of SELFrespect, because I raised her alone with no welfare or any govt. assistance, and when my husband and I married, he adopted her and though he may not be her "father" he is the best DADDY she could have ever been given, This is a different time, and you don't have to be ashamed of being "knocked up" and unmarried.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. The Ring should be started on Day 1-5 of the menstrual cycle or the 1st-5th day after your period starts.
2. Use your fingers to press the sides of the ring together and gently push it into your vagina. Push the Ring up high in the vagina.
3. The Ring is left in place in the vagina for 3 weeks. Do not remove the Ring for intercourse.
4. After 3 weeks, remove the vaginal ring for 7 days. During this break, you will experience withdrawal bleeding, your period.
5. Remove by hooking the rim of the Ring with your finger and pulling out.
6. Place the used Ring in the foil pouch or a plastic bag and discard. Do not flush the Ring down the toilet.
7. After the 7 day break, insert a new Ring to begin the cycle again. Insert the new Ring on the same day of the week you inserted the previous Ring, even if you have not finished your period.
8. Unused Rings should be stored at room temperatur and out of direct sunlight.

WHAT TO DO IF THE RING-FREE WEEK HAS BEEN LONGER THAN ONE WEEK:

1. It is possible that you could become pregnant. If you have not had a normal menses you will need a pregnancy test.
2. Use a back-up contraceptive until you have determined if you are pregnant.
3. Restart with a new Ring once determined not pregnant.

If your period isn't due until the 22nd, then yes it is way too early to take a test, and also too early to be feeling pregnancy symptoms. Some women insist that they felt preggo right away, but it's rare. The bladder infection could be the cause of your feeling sick. And sometimes if we think we could be pregnant, our minds cause our bodies to create false symptoms. The only thing you can do is wait a couple wks, and if your period is a few days late, then take a test. Good luck, and take care!

if it was only out a week and you had your period then i doubt that you are pregnant but it is possible.
you could be nauseous and not wanting to eat because of the bladder infection,,especially if you are taking some sort of antibiotic or even an OTC pill for it.
i would wait 2 weeks and then buy an early pregnancy test like EPT, if it shows negative wait one more week then test again. do it in the morning as soon as you wake up because your hormone levels in your urine will be highest then.
good luck and i hope it tests out the way you hope

Doesnt it say on the box if you are prego-or think you could be prego, not to use it? If it doesnt it should. if you think you could be i would suggest that you get off of it untill you find out, and dont have unprotected sex(or any at all, i know thats harsh but if you do care about and want the baby its for the best) untill you get a positive or negative result. and-you have about 9months if you are prego to really decide on the marriage thing, dont do it just because. I'm a military wife(9months preggy), and i hear and see all sorts of things-and in my personal opinion and experience, they dont really support you any better than any other government funding-so far the insurance has been worse. (hoping it gets better soon though lol) At least my hubby supports me though!

wait until april 29th to take a pregnancy test. just put it out of your mind and dont think about pregnancy at all. force yourself to eat, even if that means going to the dr's and requesting a feeding tube.
