When was the first bomb used?

I have to write a research paper for my Forensics class about the history of bombs and explosives. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good, informitive, credible website that could answer my question of When the first bomb was used, and along with many other questions I have. Look at the Chinese. I am prettt sure they were some of the first to use explosives.
