I had the runs the night before my water broke.
Could be soon, especially if you are 40 weeks!
If this is your first child even if this is early labour it might be ages until real active labour begins. Try and relax...
good luck xoxo

you mean early stages of labour, not in labour early right?! some people !!
hopefully by now you are in true labour, tho some can 'grumble' on like this for hours before you go into 'real' labour.
keep walking about, but have a good long bath too when feel tired. have your labour/birth/baby bags packed if going into hospital. make sure your hubby/partner etc is with you asap!
how exciting!!! get someone to buy you Arnica 30x for after birth, helps heal internal bruising and when i used it i healed quicker and bled for less time too.
stay upright, dont lie onbback to give birth, at the least sit up in the bed with a foot on a hip of midwife/hubby, ie, they each on eithe rside of bed and you pushing on their hips. if you lie on back gravity cant work and the cocyx bone cant move back enough to allow baby's head to emerge as easily, which is why some labours are longer than others!!
what a wonderful tiem! listen to your body, dont try to control it, this is the time when womens bodie sknow what to do and our minds takle a back seat. saty calm, breathe deep thru those contractions, enjoy holding your beautiful baby for 1st time!!
best wishes to you all.

Sounds like the start of labor to me. If youre 40 weeks, youre not early though, youre right on time. Call your doctor and check in. He'll let you know when to come in to the hospital. Good luck! How exciting!

I'd say so, although it may not get going for a few hours or even days. Try to eat while you can, something sensible like pasta, and rest. It might be a while before sleep is an option!
Good luck, and congrats on the pending arrival!

It sounds like you are in pre-labour. Try to get as much rest as you can because you might not get the chance again for a few days!
