how can i stop my gf from smoking? she says she tried before but it didnt work and she just gave up i really wanna help her stop and everytime i take em away she gets angry at me. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

You can't make her quit. She has to want to quit. Once she wants to quit, of her own will, you can help her by being supportive and trying to keep her mind off of the addiction. But until then, don't try to force her.

I am having the same problem with my husband right now. The stupid thing is I quit 5 years ago and he still hasn't. Every time I ask him to which is like everyday he says he will quit tomorrow I know what you are going through. For health reasons it is such a bad habit! maybe she can try the patches. For me I just quit cold turkey. To tell you the truth it wasn't so bad. I don't miss it at all. I know this sounds dumb but I started chewing on straws instead. Good Luck... but she wo't quit until she is ready

I smoked in high school and so did my friends and boyfriends, but if a boy broke up with me because he didn't like that I smoked I might have quit.
You can't make her stop but you can choose to not date her.

why don't you just leave her alone? You shouldn't go out with some one to try and change them you knew going into it.
And yes i am a smoker and my fiance isn't but he loves me for who i am and doesn't want to change me. that's how it should be. I do respect him though i don't smoke in his car or in our house. If she really wants to quit she will you can't force some one to do something they don't really want to do.

If she is only 15 how is she getting the cigarettes in the first place??? If you are buying them for her then stop! That might solve the problem. If you aren't buying them for her then find out how she is getting them and find away to put a stop to it.

deal with it she will not stop smoking until she wants to and it won't be for you. Don't like it leave. did you knw that she smoke b4 you started dating her.
