From television, to fasion, to music, I for some reason feel that the deterioration of the integrity and the debasing of education as a logical step in attaining maturity and fiscal success of this up and coming generation is somehow more violent and disturbing than many of the cultural shifts of twentieth century America. Do you have any insights/examples/flames/ramblings on this and how you feel it will affect the development of global culture in the next twenty years? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Does anyone see any sort of correlation between modern advances in technology and the poigniant exaggeration of the flaws of popular culture. I am only 18 and a junior in college, so I don't have very much personal reference for such a question, and I was seeking an answer to help deepen my understanding of my research.

Great question The question has come up because of the high school drop out rate and other social ills.First if you do the research you will the high school drop out rate is on the rise.Do not blame the school system or the kids.First in most states like New York and California the standards have increased for a high school degree.Second the school system for lack of funds has problems obtaining new computer, new books and even high speed Internet.Every year you pay Teachers more and pay more for supplies.More research show will spending on education has not done the job The second reason is us in the media.Today shows Fear Factor and Jackass is not what we need to set examples for the youth of today. Parents today are busy but must still find time to help their children.

People have been claiming literal or figurative apocalypses for aeons. There are variants on the 'these-kids-today" speech going back to Ancient Greece, and that's just what we have attested.
