What do deer's eat?

I was looking outside just 5mins ago, when I saw these Deer's looking 4 food. Im not going to feed them, I'm just real curious. I wasn't sure about the deer's species, but they were in my backyard and i live near lots of houses and stores

I have had deer eat everything in my garden. As an indication as to the variety of vegetables that I plant and deer eat. The only vegetable I will not plant is lima beans. I am sure they would eat them too. What really surprised me is that deer have eaten hot peppers, plant and all. Had to fence my garden in to keep the deer out.
