That's called statutory Rape, and it's also child abuse on your part.! A 12 year old is just starting puberty and is still a baby they're not mature enough to handle the emotions and demands a 19 year old will put on that relationship. It's sick and if you're the mother then your child should be put in foster care! At that age yes they're convinced they are and will argue until they turn bluet hat they are mature enough.... however that's a parents responsiblity to say no to abuse and protect them from pediphiles!

For starters, that's basically illegal. She's a minor, and the 19 year old is a full fledged adult. If they end up having sex, then it is CERTAINLY illegal! 12 year olds are still growing and maturing and trying to find a sense of self. Their hormones are wacky. 19 year olds are no longer really growing and their pubescent hormones have leveled out for the most part. A 19 year old is also looking to be physical, more than likely. 12 year olds don't need to be getting physical and intimate so young, and if a 19 year old tried to get them to have sex, it would be taking advantage of their already jagged and raging hormone levels.
A mother should never endorse something illegal, especially something like this. A mother shouldn't try and keep their child locked up, but they should nurture and take care of their children. Initiating a romamtic relationship between people who have such a large age gap between each other is not right. Especially since the relationship is basically illegal from the start, or at least it will head in that direction quickly.

Never!A 12 year old child has no business with a 19 year old MAN.A 12 year should not even be dating yet. Someone who is 19 is most likely sexually mature and will most likely pressure this little Girl/Boy to have some kind of sexual relationship with them.This could be very emotionally damaging to a in mature 12 year old.
Not only that it is against the law it is called statatory rape the 19 year old whould do some jailtime and be labeled a sex offender for the rest of their life and mom could also be charged with niglect for allowing it to go on and not reporting it thats some jail time for mommy too.

I think it's totally out of the picture. Alot of 12 year olds are dealing with their own issues, they don't need to be introduced to stuff that a 19 year old id going through until they're 19 themselves. Plus their a minor! An excuse that people say is that they're in love. So frickin what!

No, its not okay. Its making the 12 y/o grow up way to fast. The 19 y/o is going to expect certain things that a 12 y/o probably wouldn't understand. They need to let that child be a kid and mature at their own rate.

Absolutely not. A 12 year old is a 6th grader! She should barely be learning to shave her legs. I was caught up in this, when I was 17 I began a relationship with a 26 year old man...5 years later, I have a 13 month old daughter, and have to go to court tomorrow to testify for his abuse! There is something wrong with adults that want to "date" children, be it control issues, pedophilia, or something else, but please try to protect your daughter from this person. I wish I would have listened to my mom, other than the fact of my beautiful little girl. Good luck, and don't be afraid to call the cops. It's better for her to cry now than you cry later.

Not only is it not ok, it's ILLEGAL. Personally, I think it would be pushing your daughter to mature at a rate that is scary. At 12, she's still just a baby and not ready for all the things that a 19 yr old is ready for and or doing. NOT ok.

no! ewww. that's just wrong. do you know how much you change in those seven years?! some 12 yr olds aren't even on their period! why would a 19 yr old want to? the 12 yr old is not mature enough(most likely) to deal with a realationship. the older you get, the less age matters but this is not one of those cases!!!

No, it's not. Not only is it illegal, the maturity difference is HUGE! What would they have to talk about? Their life experiences are so different? And why is the 19 year old interested in the 12 year old, anyhow?

A 19yr old drinks, drives, drugs and has sex! your child is 12! primary school! grade 7 here in australia. Her body and her mind will not be ready for it.
