Well, I guess I'm the odd one out here since I happen to be a Bush supporter. I also have spent time in Guatemala and adopted my third child from there, who lived in some of the poorest conditions imaginable for the first three years of his life. So while I support my President I also have a great deal of love and compassion for the country of Guatemala. I am GLAD President Bush is spending time in the Latin American countries. Guatemala is in desperate need of help in MANY ways. I for one would love to see some aide go their way. Maybe now that we have some of your precious "Democrats" as the majority in Congress we'll see some action. WE SHALL SEE!

The government of Guatemala is a brutal right-wing dictatorship that serves an elite and has no regard for the human rights or welfare of the people.
So Bush probably went there so he coud relax in an environment that he really enjoys.

What is Bush doing as the US President?? He's probably over there trying to solve all of their problems while we, in the US, still have hungry citizens, uninsured citizens, welfare recipients, people with chronic diseases that don't stand a chance, etc, etc, etc..........

They're trying to get him to help aid them in deterring drug trafficking in the country. When I lived there in the Peace Corps, narcotraffickers would pass through my village every night.

HA! Yes, skull and bones. He is a Mason at heart, don't forget it. There is no logical reason for him to be there, I mean, it's not like he has to worry about being elected for another term or anything...
