Certain evenings, there are people on here that seem to be angry with every response . Now it's no secret, that it can be frustrating when there's foolish, baseless questions and answers abounding . We all know that feeling !! But have some of you considered that because we're sometimes surrounded by insolence and ignorance, that we become angry people ? And perhaps reply more harshly than we normally would ?

Not really. I have a sick humor and think some of that stuff is funny. It makes me laugh that people take this place so seriously. It's like the more points they have and the more people who agree with them somehow gives them a feeling of superiority. If the affirmations on their yardstick of self worth come from Y!A they are in a sad state of affairs, my friend. It does sometimes makes me feel depressed over the low collective intelligence quotient of the general populace. When I'm not in the mood for the sarcasm, cutting remarks, and plain ol' ignorance I just look for those questions where people are actually needing something answered and go to town.

Besides, how could I be too down? You bring music into my life. Let's all sing in perfect harmony, Ernie...

...Think of what you're saying.
...You can get it wrong and still you think that it's all right...
...Think of what I'm saying...
...We can work it out and get it straight, or say good night...
...We can work it out...
...We can work it out...
...Life is very short, and there's no time...
...For fussing and fighting, my friend...

I usually don't let anything on this site get me angry or upset. Once in awhile though I will see someone continually answer questions in an incredibly ridiculous way and I will then answer the question in a way that goes after that person. Most of the time though I just have fun with it. I feel sorry for people who are so intense on hating "liberals" or "conservatives" They probably have horrible things going on in there lives so I just choose to ignore them.
I do find it strange though that I have befriended many conservatives on this site but really no liberals.

Sometimes if I am having a stressful day and I feel passionately about a subject I might let it get to me. When that happens I try to step back and ask myself is it really the people on Yahoo Answers, or just the circumstances of what is happening in my real life at that time. If I decide it is Yahoo Answers doing it then I just sign off for the day. Opinions are just opinions, just words on a page and they cannot hurt me, but if I let myself become overly stressed by those opinions then I am just hurting myself.

I can honestly say that I don't let this site upset me and make me angry. I do though get frustrated with the tirades that some of the questions and especially the answers get into. It's great to have a site like this to voice your opinion, which we all need to remember that is exactly what it is --- opinion --- and everyone has one. It may not exactly agree with your own, but que sera, sera.

BTW, thanks for asking an intelligent and thought out question. Very refreshing!!!

I make a conscious effort not to be angry. However, I recently received an email from a woman who didn't like one of my answers and really chastised me for it. It made me angry until I realised 1. There was nothing wrong with my answer, and 2. I was one of maybe forty people who answered her question with a similiar opinion. If she wrote to me, she must have written to all of them. That makes me feel kind of sorry for her. That's what I think when people get angry- I feel kind of sorry for them, because they can become so upset over something so trivial.

Go to Oprah. Go to Oprah. Just kidding, Politics just bring that out in folks. No one here is going to change anyone Else's mind about anything. I have fun most of the time. The only ones that get my goat are the people that denigrate or protest our military men past and present. There is one poster that uses many different names and spams almost every day. She files abuse complaints on anyone that disagrees with her or any of her many avatars. She annoys me

Yes, I e-mailed a guy on here to talk about a IM website and he told me he almost didn't open it because of all the hate e-mails he gets on here.I was like wow I never have gotten hateful emails from people on Y!A . Then I went back and checked my mail later and I had a hate mail. I have gotten alot of mail from people on here but it's all been nice up to this point. It was from a guy who was insulted that I thought glow bowling is not a romantic date. Although I was nice in my answer to him and even told him that his date may have been flirting with him. He still blew up at me because I added glow bowling sounds like something people do with their friends not a girl he's trying to be romantic with. He keeps sending me insulting e-mails though.
I think people that have a huge ego and cannot handle any type of criticism at all should not ask questions on here.

My ex-bf did a similar to me. He promised it replaced into purely short-time period time aside yet he refused to respond to my calls and talk to me. He replaced right into a dumbass lier and now he has stated as me a "stalker" at the back of my back. I have not spoken to him in months so how am i able to be a stalker?? yet besides....ditch the guy. complications contained in the relationship are continually a demonstration of hardship and at the same time as he tells you what to do like no longer talking until eventually a particular date, then he's a loser and desires to imagine about what he's saying and who he's saying it to. in case you opt for to refer to him then he might want to pay interest no longer positioned you on carry. it truly is only a nasty signal. go away now. you'll discover someone extra useful. everybody fairly. i know that is difficult to get him off your options. It replaced into a similar for me. there have been distinctive situations when I merely had to sleep so as that i does no longer might want to imagine anymore yet time heals all issues. quickly you'll meet someone extra useful and/or you'll merely comprehend that you're extra useful off with out him. sturdy luck. As for the mummy: she is probable merely annoyed that you're depressed and damage. each now and then human beings have a difficult time reacting to the moves of a depressed individual. attempt to have a sit-down at the same time with her and clarify what you sense on your coronary heart yet inspite of you do, do not get indignant via the undeniable fact which will purely reason stress between both of you and it appears like you've adequate of that already.

You have a point. & I agree with you. But this IS a good place to vent ones frustrations about the real world. And as long as we realise there are ALWAYS the less "enlightend" among us, it's an enjoyable & absorbing pastime. :) It's just a question of keeping things in perspective...
