As performers get more successful, they acquire a bigger entourage, including assistants and assistants for their assistants and so on..so I guess to cover the cost of their outragous fees to begin with, they also want their "people" taken care of as well....there are a few though that remember that everyone cannot afford such high prices for their tickets, like Garth Brooks, who demanded that his tickets were priced so everyone would have the chance to see him....more of them should do that, don't yo think?

Scalping became round even as i became a young person contained in the 70's yet now to not the volume of the costs that we pay now. Now that we've the web, tickets promote out even swifter. yet another issue is that you'll signup for band golf equipment, and also you pay a cost for the year to get first shot at tickets. yet otherwise that we are getting screwed. the first time I said The Who (some time previous even as) I paid $6 for my cost ticket. I said The Who again in 2006 and that i paid $285 for my cost ticket and that wasn't even from a scalper. as a lot as now, the optimal I paid for a cost ticket became $750 to make certain Roger Waters in 2006 for the darkish aspect of The Moon excursion. i became contained in the third row and it became worth each damn penny and that i could pay it again.

Are you earning more money today than in 1985? I hope you are. Same with the music industry. Most everything goes up in price.

i went to a concert in october. i bought my tickets online at about $29. of course they had to add on all these processing fees so it ended up being around 38ish. this was a general admission venue. if it was not, then the first row seats would probably cost $98432!

I think it may have something to do with a decrease in record sales? Artists feel compelled to raise concert ticket prices because they believe everyone is downloading their music illegally online.

Well for secular music... it's really high because most of the singers are in it for the money.
For Christian singers it's really cheap and they are in it for their talent. And after the paying off everyone the rest goes off to the communities or to Charity. That's why Christian concerts are so cheap.

Because the bands aren't making the money off CDs like they used too because so many are pirated.

Why are musicians so rich? It's not from selling CD's since we can download their songs for free...
