Songs work fine. Can get small clips. But when I try to download full movies, it tells me I need more sources, after it just told me there was 100 sources. I'm wondering if being on a lan network could have something to do with it. Anybody know how to fix this?

Legality issues aside, Limewire isn't the best program to use for movies. I would recommend downloading the program BitComet. Which you can find here: http://www.download.com/BitComet/3000-2196-10296306.html From there, use a website such as http://www.torrentspy.com to search for movies. If you're behind a router, you may want to use port forwarding (For both Limewire and BitComet, if you decide to use it). Step-by-step information on this can be found at: http://www.portforward.com
One more thing, if you insist on using P2P programs such as Limewire, I would suggest going here: http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/
Peer Guardian 2 is an IP blocker, which will not completely prevent you from going to jail/getting fined/whatever, but may help.

It's stupid like that. When I try to download songs, I will have like 128 sources and it will say I need more sources. I don't think it's your network per say, I would try picking out a few of the files that you want to download and hopefully you are bound to get one that has enough sources and then you can just cancel the rest of the downloads.

I had to do that when I downloaded Seize the Day video, by A7X

Dude trust me don't d/l movies from limewire, most of them have companies that track down downloader IP addresses now. It's not like how it was in the 90's, P2P networks are not safe now.

My advise is not to download movies over any p2p programs. Its not safe as they track ur activites including ur IP addresses...Best is not to stay online for more than half an hour. Songs are the safest but stay within the time limit. Be smart when downloading stuff over p2p programs.

how limewire works is like a huge network system.

if you have that file and you're online and sharing, other people can get that file from you..bit by bit...if 1000 people wanted that file you'll be sending to 1000 people bit by bit....depending on your bandwidth quota.

same goes if you're downloading a file, you're dl it bit by bit from someone that have the file....and that " MORE RESOURCES" you keep getting is because NOBODY with that file is online......or nobody with COMPLETE file is online

for full movie, we all recommend the usage of TORRENT. I am assuming you're downloading legitimate movies or sampler, piracy is illegal....

I don't know, but limewire is only good for music in my opinion. Try uttorent for movies...works for me.
