hes good but i dont think hes in that class of mvps...
he adds new depth to the team with his good passing and consistent jumpshot
he can hit the three and give leadership
he cant play defense because of his bad work ethic and size and if you take him out of the team..you still have good talent

He's really good. He's got true point guard skills and on-court intelligence which really lift his team up. And the thing about Steve Nash is he has the ability to make his teammates better players. This is that rare quality that all the players you've mentioned possessed. I doubt though if he'd win the MVP award this year. Amare's also done his share for the Suns so unlike last year Phoenix is not all Steve Nash. I think Dirk Nowitzki or Kobe have better chances of winning it.

NO. Steve Nash doesn't deserve to be with that company. The people that you listed aren't MVP, they aren't Hall Of Famers...they're Legendary; the Super Elite. Their talents cannot be repeated or shown again. It was a one stop shop. So no. Steve Nash doesn't deserve to be MVP this year...he didn't deserve to be MVP the last 2 years either...well...maybe the 1st year was ok.. but not the 2nd

Steve Nash isn't really as good as all of those players, but you can't penalize him by not giving him MVP just because of that. It isn't his or anyone on that lists fault that Nash is the most deserving of MVP for the past several years. He deserves it, and he shouldn't be denied just because people don't want to put him on that list of players.

paradoxically, Nash certainly deserves a thrid MVP (although personally i think Dirk should win, barely), but he does not deserve to be a three-time MVP. Nash has been playing at a level close to any of the above for the last three years, but they all kept it up for at least a decade.

Nash is overated BIG TIME! There are many PG's out there who can fill in for him. Nash does nothing unique but pass and shoot just like any other PG. Why give him the MVP. Shaq was the real MVP in '04, in '05 it was Nash which is fine whatever. But this yr it should be D-Wade.

Well he is good, but look at that list can you see all those names then see Steve Nash i mean those people are all legends. Steve Nash doesn't cut it for me to make that list. But he is a good play maker.

he's not as good as those guys, but thats not the point. the mvp is as circumstantial an award as they come, and if he wins it this year, all three will be deserved. But he wown't win it. Dirk will

The guy belongs in that group. I know he is discriminated against because he is a small white man, but he is awesome. I am not saying he is Jordan or Magic , but he stacks up with the rest.
