when someone pays you money through paypal can you use the money the same time or is there a waiting period?

i want to know if for say someone sends you money through pay pal can you use it the same dayor you have to wait a while for the money to be actvated in your account

If you are planning on transfering the money in paypal to your bank account for personal use, it takes a few days for the transfer. But, if you are going to use it IN paypal, for something say, ebay purchases, I believe you can use it right away. Why don't you consult the paypal site for more info?

if they paid you by credit card, its considered clear cash and you have access to it immediately.

There is only a hold period if they pay you via e-check. About 4 business days hold before the money becomes available to you.
