Advice for writing test?

I am taking the North Carolina State Writing Test this coming Tuesday. While all the teachers say not to stress about it, that's kinda hard to do when you've never gotten better than a 2 and the test counts both as my English exam, my English EOC, and 25% of my grade. Does anybody have any advice that will help me write better on this test or to help me stop stressing so much I mean I know a little stress is good but I'm at the point where it's getting hard to breathe properly. Any adivice is greatly apprciated.

Here's what you do.

Be sure that you're wearing comfortable clothing. Bring a light jacket in case the classroom's cold. Eat a good breakfast, enough so that you won't be thinking about your stomach when you're testing.

Before you get started writing, read the question at least three times. Be sure to give examples and details. If you ever get stressed too much, try yoga breathing. Fill your stomach, ribs, and top of your chest, in that order, with air. Release chest, ribs, then stomach. It's very relaxing, and it gets extra oxygen to your brain.

Don't stress too much. Think about your topic, and think how it relates to you.

"Should vending machines be banned from schools?"

-I like them
-They get funding for the schools
-I depend on them for lunch
-Many other students like them

Just relax and try not to think of it as a test.

Get some excersice, Eat before you take the test and shower, i think the most important things are to be prepared and to feel comfortable. If you are prepared than you wont have anything stopping you and all the questions will seem easy and if you are comfortable than thats just a plus. Oh yeah and get plenty of sleep. Those things should help you deal with your stress
