I dont think it's a time wasting site in fact it helps me pass my time. It can provide me with satisfaction too whenever im being choose as a best answer. So i think my answer is % Best answer, it shows that my effort does not go down to the drain. Afterall, best answer gets 10 point, so we can get more points from that.

I think that the percentage of best answers is way better. People tend to look at you as an authority in the subject when you have a higher standing in the best answers department. Now, bear in mind, I have an orange banner from being a top contributor in P&S, that means that I am now officially a 'clown' (I wonder if I can get my Diploma from the college without writing the exams?)

I'd say best answer.
Who cares about how many total points you have.
I could have a trillion total points just putting stars for answers or something. It takes a lot of skill to get a lot of best answers.

I'd go with the points, at least up until level five. I was a little psyched about reaching that "no limits" stage. So points.

Total points, the percentage changes and is based on someone else's choice, total points is based on ones self.

% best answered. you get points for going on, you get points for answering, you get points for pretty much anything you do-good or bad. but if you have a high % best answered, you probably give better advice, answers, etc.

It's easy to answer a question with just yes, no, etc and you still get the points.
receiving best answer means you actually put thought into the answer
