dead or alive, Saddam meant zilch to me. I know that the majority of the people of Iraq wish that he was still alive and still in power, since he at least held the friggin place together, didn't he?

Sadaam was, as Osama called him, a Socialist leftover of the Cold War. He, Mubarek, Musharef, Assad and Quadaffi represent a period of history that is fading into the past.

No, I am glad that man is dead.

It's no secret that the Iraq war is going like we wanted....BUT the USA achieved it's goal of capturing Saddam.

For years he was the power behind the ailing figure of the president, Ahmed Hassan Bakr. In 1979, he achieved his ambition of becoming head of state. The new president started as he intended to go on - putting to death dozens of his rivals.

No, I do not wish him to be alive but I did feel remorse in seeing his death. I guess I saw that he was murdered instead of punished for his crimes. Those in charge should have not allowed his hanging to be proceeded by taunts the way his was. He was horrible person but in my mind those who executed him were no better.
