I would suggest using delegation if possible. If you have noone to delegate it to or to help you, I think it's important to talk to your supervisor and tactfully let them know that it is not possible for you to meet the deadline. I would do that before I started missing the deadlines.

Believe me, this is happening all over where companies reduce the work force by not hiring or by not filling vacancies.
If jobs are difficult to find in your area, and you need this job, put your "respect hat on" and ask your supervisor for some time when you can discuss your responsibilities and how much you can satisfactorily accomplish in "x" hours.
Assume the attitude that he's the boss, and you're not, but you need a realistic load.

Just politely ask the boss to give you a little more time, and that you are getting stressed with all the extra work, tell them you can do the job 100% but your hard work may make you have to go on sick leave because you will get mentally tired as well.

If you are in a position to delegate tasks, do so. Just make sure you are doing the most important things yourself. If not, make yourself a daily task list and do the most important things first. If you find yourself starting to fall behind ask for help. If you are seriously giving 100%, and are just not capable of acomplishing the tasks you have been assigned, there should not be a problem asking for assistance. Just make sure they can't come back and say, well if you weren't doing this (some unnecessary thing) then you would be able to get it done.

Delegate, hire a temp to help, work more hours.
Funny how deadlines sometimes change when the company has to PAY to meet them. If that it is the case then they are taking advantage of you and you should adjust your strategy accordingly......
Many companies will find a good horse to ride and ride it until it drops. You do not want to drop....

Do the best you can, don't panic. focus and dog it . Don't let the m know you can't take it. Gain from this experience while you liik for a better job. When you find one negotiate for more pay. Or go in good terms. You will both learn from this.
