I think it's a easier way to say that you have casual sex.

You have been watching too much Boston Legal. On the other hand since I know the reference so have I. If I could have that kind of relationship with a girl like Denice I would take it in a min. Oh well I think I will go to bed now and dream.

I am fine with it as I've had one. Lots of friends with benefits is more along the lines of just sleeping around. In terms of my friend.. we get along really well, he is fun and interesting, very attractive and has strong sex appeal but he wasn't wanting a commitment. I was fine with that because I knew he was commitment phobic. When I met someone, I stopped seeing him sexually, we remain friends. Basically I like him a lot but I am realistic too, you can't change someone.

They is no such thing as friends with benefits. This type of relationship is not a friendship, just someone using someone else to get what they want. The real benefits to a friendship is having someone who cares about you in spite of yourself and is there in good or bad times.

It's disgusting and should actually be categorized as "prostitution" in a sense. And if you are planning on giving me a thumbs down, it is probably because you fit in this category as well. Friends with benefits destroys the intimacy of relationships. People degrade themselves and as a result have trouble with REAL relationships. They get used to hooking up and leaving. That's not how things are suppose to work.

I think this question is in the wrong category and I think it rarely works out one of the people involved at least one almost always end up liking the other.

There is no such thing as "friends with benefits".
Someone always gets their feelings hurt.
Plus its just a really low life kind of person that resorts to such behaviour. Go see a shrink...find your self-esteem or something.

If it's what I think you're talking about ...I do not like it... My ex tried that one on me after we broke up .
We met again and I made it clear that I wanted a relationship ,she wanted fringe benefits with no commitment . I refused to service her needs and fantasy life then she broke communication with me shortly thereafter.....
I don't like being used no matter how good it feels.......

To me, its just another way to 'have it all' without making a committment. I think it is kinda cheap, and I do not participate in that kind of relationship.

I personally don't do it. Why would I give my body to someone who won't take my heart along with it?
My friend tries all the time, and always always always gets hurt.
