A lot of the movies I like, most reviewer's blast them. What are they looking for? Are they movie snobs?

The reviews at Rotten Tomatoes generally reflect the critic community's consensus around the nation (and world, I guess). Additionally, anyone can write a review, and at times you will find the viewer reviews to be at odds with the critic reviews.

I have found every single review site to be harsh. Most of the movies they rave about being wonderful, I don't get the appeal and vice versa.

I'm one of the critics who posts at RT, and I don't think that we're too harsh as a group. A few individual members may be hard to please, but the group itself reflects a wide range of critics with incredibly diverse tastes. I can honestly say that there's no groupthink at RT; everyone expresses their individual opinion very honestly and the critics often disagree among themselves over which movies are worth seeing.

Yes. I think that they go out of their way to down a movie.
But not always. I've agreed with them on a few good reviews.
I don't go by any one review anyway. No one should.

I like that they do that. It saves a lot of time for me and I know that when they really like something, they REALLY like it.
