Who makes the best? I don't know! I just want to offer an opinion on the subject, for whatever it's worth. I think auto-dark lenses are unsafe! Think about it. If light travels at 180,000 miles per second, do you think that lens has a chance of reacting fast enough to shield your eyes for a micro-second ? I'll take my chances with cell phones and
microwave ovens, but not this!

i own a repair shop ,and i bought mine from harbor freight and it works as good as any of the real expensive ones do,i had a 200 dollar one,and went out about a week after the warranty died out on it,and this one i have used for 2 years, and never had a problem from it at all,and it cost around 60 bucks when i bought it,and there cheaper than that now,but i sure wouldn't spend a lot of money on a real expensive one, they just aren't worth it,good luck,i hope this helps.

When I was doing production welding, I used a Speedglas helmet. I liked it enough to get one for home use.

I have always been partial to Miller, but I don't have an auto darkening one, because I don't weld that often. I like my flip-up just fine.
