Before my husband left I had several computers in the house, two for the children! A piano, saxophones, couches, beds, an X-box, medical insurance...
Then he left and went abroad, with all the family possessions.
Now, I am broke. But I still have a laptop. I had it with me when he left.

"excellent observation - computer $600-$1000; phone line $30 - $50; DSL $50 - $80.00; ISP $30 - $50...... " Not that excellent...obviously you don't know how to shop around...
In my case...computer $200 (brand new, onsale promotional)
phone line $15 we have only one, DSL $15 a month (AT&TYAHOO) very good have it for 5 years no problems, includes ISP...Obviously YOU don't know how to shop around and compare prices of anything. Oh and I've never said I was broke.
