I went into hot topic to day with my mother. she told me beforehand that i could pick out a few items. upon her arrival she had noticed that i was looking at some t-shirts one with pink skulls on it and another with a gun that had hearts shooting out of it. she them made a scene suggesting that i was turning bad and that hot topic was an evil store
so i must ask this question are skull t-shirts evil?

Well I don't know that evil is the correct word, but they certainly aren't something I'd buy. They are ugly, and just kind of creepy.

I don't think skulls are really evil, like my cousin has a Pirates of The Caribbean shirt and it has a skull on it, but, some people wear things with skulls on it ALL the time and that's just ridiculous. If your clients are just wearing like a shirt with a skull or skulls on it then I think it's fine, I'm also a christian. But, if they're wearing a skull shirt, skull pants, skull shoes, have a skull bag, or a skull headband or something like that, then, that's crazy! Point is, I don't feel that there satanic, but, it is a matter of opinion.

Oh that is funny. My friends mother did sort of the same thing when I wore a skull t-shirt from hot topic in her house. She then decided I need to go to church, repent my sins, and wear something more friendly. No skulls aren't evil. Mainly it is just another fad. Like this whole "emo" thing. I wear skulls all the time. You have a skull and it holds what makes you who you are. It holds your brain which essentially holds your mind. Unless your going around killing innocent villigers and pilliaging the land your fine and the skulls are fine.

HTH

No skulls aren't necessarily evil. Its just the thought of a skull brings around death which is normally depressing. My family and I are religious and I have a shirt with a skull on it; no one seems to have a problem with it. Now would I wear it to church? No but I don't think the shirt represents anything evil

Only the religious right would call a tee-shirt "evil." Evil is in the mind and has a GREAT deal to do with religious up bringing. If you make a bad decision that hurts someone else or lands you in jail, you could be called "evil."

Wearing a certain type of tee-shirt is only something YOU should decide. Do you WANT to make other people fearful of you? Or are you confident enough in yourself to "do your own thing" and not worry about what other people think. That is called "individuality."

You can do anything you want, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone or land you in jail!

Skulls are kinda in fashion right now, they are one of those things that go in and out of beeing acepted. explain to her that skulls might have been evil back then but now they are just a common symbol on stuff. don't for get to ask your mom if she was freaking out about the skull thing or the gun thing, then you need to come up with a whole other argument.

No, it is just a shirt with something spooky. That is just superstition coming from your mother. It is the belief of the unknown, but it seems like the store owner is trying to sell his/her thoughts to customers. maybe they believe in magic and voodoo.
