Below is a link to a site of all the foods your hamster can have. Don't ever sweets, chocolates, sugary cereals or citrus fruits to them. Watch it on sunflower seeds and peanuts, they're high in fat. As for cereals no artificial colors, flavors, and no marshmellows. Cheerios, puffed rice, oatmeal (dry or soaked in milk) or puffed wheat are good choices.

You can do fresh fruit, fresh or thawed vegetables, unsalted crakers with peanut butter, small cubes of cheese (to be used in extreme moderation as it will cause gas and hamsters are lactos intolerant), whole grain bread, very small amounts of rolled oats (i.e. plain oatmeal), boiled eggs. I believe that covers the list.

We actually give our hamster fresh green beans but only a small piece once or twice a week. Any more than that and they get wet bottom. They also love kale.

Melons, apples, bananas, celery, carrots, lettuce, and believe it or not, weeds! Remember always wash them first. I would prefer giving them out as treats (except lettuce).
