My OS is Windows 2000, only. After I reboot the computer, Windows begins to load, then it freezes right in the middle of a load-up. I do not have the installation CD to reinstall, but I am able to go into safe mode.

maybe some programs or drivers (video card for example) which load on startup became unstable. try disabling them in safe mode and then booting normally.

to manage startup, you can go to Start --> Run, type 'msconfig' and hit enter, then go to Startup tab.

when you find the one to blame, reinstall it.

go into safe mode, when u get to desktop click start, run, msconfig, hit ok. on top click startup tab and uncheck the unnecessary programs starting when you turn on your pc. get rid of programs y ou arent using in control panel, add/remove programs. also make sure you get windows updates on regular basis.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
