Can you re-iron on a shirt if some didnt seal during the original ironing?

Like i have an iron-on on a shirt but a little bit of the letter isnt sticking. Does the adhesive still work where I can iron it over again(with the original paper over it) and press it down?

Yes, as long as you use the cover sheet.
