One and a half hours is quite normal for a 6 cell battery, which is usually the standard battery that comes with most laptops. However there are some things you can do that will optimize the run time of your battery. You should re-calibrate your battery about once a month if you use it a lot. You do this by opening your control panel, go to , then , then , then under "running on batteries" set all four of your options (turn off monitor, hard disks, system standby and sys. hibernates) to never,( don't forget to restore your settings when finished). Then charge your battery all the way to 100%, after that leave your computer on and drain the battery all the way down to where your computer warns you of critical low battery, don't turn it off during this process. Then, again re-charge your battery all the way to 100% , your battery is then re-calibrated and will give you the maximum time your battery is capable of.
You can also turn down the brightness of your screen which will lengthen battery time. Also, you can buy a 12 cell battery which will give you longer battery time, but they can be very expensive. But, do try re-calibrating, it should help. By the way, Fujitsu's are very good computers.

yeah i recently bought a laptop too..it last or like 2 hours or so....the stoock battery doesnt come out really good. Thats why you have to go to a electronics store and buy a long lasting battery..they ave batteries up to 8 hours i believe

That is normal depending on what you are doing.
The CPU uses power quickly. Newer CPUs are better power users, but still eat power voraciously
Disk eats power. If the disk is always running, battery wears quicker.

CD/DVD eats lots of power
Some USB devices eat lots of power
Wireless cards use lots of power...

Batteries are not made to run all this stuff.

My battery lasts only about an hour. It depends mostly on how many programs are running on it. Dont forget there are behind the scenes going on too.

all laptop batteries eventually ware out. to make them last longer.
only use the battery when you have to.
never use the pattery half way. because you you charge it half way it will sort of gaina memory and only charge half way so when you run it down all the way it wont charge ujp.
so use the battery all the way and tehn charge it all the way. sort of exersises the battery
