There are lot of nice places to visit in December. It depends on if you want travel to someplace cold or warm.

You can find great deals on flights, cruises, golf, rental cars, and vacations to almost anywhere in the world.
I think San Diego, Hawaii and Florida are some great places to visit in December because the weather is not to cold or too hot. Europe is also great in December because it not as crowded or expensive as the summer time.

Anywhere in Colorado. If you can afford to go to Aspen, it is the bomb for skiing and Christmas gift buying.
If you prefer warmer weather, any place south of the equator.
It's summer there in December.
The islands of the Caribbean are perfect for fun in the sun.
It's not too hot but warm enough to swim.
If you never see snow, where you live, you might like going to New England for holiday shopping or Seattle.
