If I were you I would just get a new computer. Changing processors is not going to work miracles unless it is combined with more ram, newer hard drive and a better motherboard. By the time you have finished upgrading an old computer you could have bought a new one. There are new desktops loaded with vista and even include a new flat monitor for $400. if I were you I would go for that. I currently use a mac mini, which is great value, and is a mac. the board may be able to support the pin size of the pentium if it is the size of the celeron

definately you can change but your mother board supports only 800-1000 mhz pIII processor. if your mother board is 815 then it may support PIII 1200 MHz processor

it depends on the motherboard, the socket type must be the same.
