as in what medicine / medicated strips that you think about

I think of licking the wound, or putting it to my mouth. I guess that's instinct to keep the wound clean. It really depends on how you're hurt. If you're cut you'll think of a bandaid, maybe rubbing alcohol or disinfectant.

Medicine: Some form of antibiotic depending on the ailment. A prescription is needed from your doctor.
Medicated strip: Triple Antibiotic band-aids. They sell them in any store or pharmacy.

How bad is the injury, if severe bleeding I apply pressure bandage, and seek medical attention, minor bleeding wash in warm soapy water and dress with appropriate dressings.

For burns cool burnt area with cool running water, apply non stick dressing (never apply any creams etc if burn has blistered or a large area involved, includes burns to hands/faces & genitals) seek medical attention.

The reasons we don't add creams etc is because if the burn needs to be assessed by a doctor, the cream etc will make the assessment hard.

First try to stop the blood by what ever you have at that time.

Then try to relax urself for a little time, to make ur mind settles to steady state. then think of the remedy... (as it may be like going to doctor or putting some medication available)

Obviously a cry of pain, and then scramble for the first aid box - use the Band Aid and stick it up.

I think........is there any chance of getting infected? any steps that I can take at that initial time to prevent infection?

If I was pierced or cut or injured with something that broke my skin...I think DO i need to worry about who else got hurt or where the object may have been?
