I would venture a guess that most Americans have absolutely no clue what the Vietnamese flag looks like, so you are probably safe.

I do, and I wouldnt mind personally...The war in the past is DONE and both countries have changed.
One of my best friends happens to be vietnamese.

There are almost 250 countries in the world. Few people have all their flags memorized. Shouldn't be a problem.

Sad for me to say, but it's the rare American (especially under 35 years of age) who could correctly identify the Vietnamese flag...
I would not think it would matter.

If you're patriotic to your country, Wear your flag.
Americans wear theirs' in other countries and don't worry about.
You should be able to do the same thing.

I wouldn't like it and I wouldn't advise him to go into a VFW, Am. Vets, Disabled American Vets location wearing such a thing. They wouldn't need any help, but if they did, I'm just a phone call away. I think he could use his shirt for toilet paper.
