Ask the other girls! If you don't feel comfortable doing that, you could ask a female teacher, or just wander up to a "popular" girl, what ever that means, and flatter her first by saying something like, "I noticed you always where the latest fashions. Would do you think everyone is wearing to the Junior Prom?"

Have confidence in yourself! You are just as important and worth while as any one else! Don't let "popularity" scare you. In the end, it's the kids who feel confident to be their own person that really succeed.

Today it is a blend of short and long dresses for the Junior Prom, in fact don't be surprised if you see someone in a casual dress. As my niece purchased a very formal short gown for her Junior Prom and she shared that most wore short or long dresses. Poofy dresses are out and more simple types of styles, but very modern. Some girls wore gowns similar to their favorite stars wore to their Awards Ceremonies. My niece's dress was a nice dress that was draped at one shoulder, very classy. It was a soft beige dress and she wore her hair pulled back with a little flower clasp.

It looks like they're going retro with the prom dresses this year. I was in Dillard's the other day and they had brightly colored spaghetti-strap formals with full skirts and lots of white flounces. You might try a little online shopping before you commit to anything. I think there's also a magazine out called Prom Dresses that's like the bridal magazines and shows you the latest in prom fashion.

Either one, it is your choice. wear a dress that you make look good, not just the dress that make you look good. Always remember not to follow, but to lead. Meaning that you could set your own trend.
