The 12 "signs" are the 12 constellations of the zodiac (there are technically 13 now... get an astrologer to explain why Ophiucchus isn't counted). Orion is not a member of the zodiac, so it's "belt" is not part of any of the zodiacal signs.

Orion's Belt is of course under the sign of Orion as it is contained within the constellation.

Orion's belt is in the constellation Orion. Orion is not one of the zodiac constellation (lying on the ecliptic). There are actually 13 zodiac constellations - you probably forgot Ophiucius.

Orion isn't contained within the zodiacal plain. But it is in between and off to the side of it ,in between Taurus and Gemini
