i dont know how the straps go ether

i belive i answered your other question earlier. again its reall not that hard, they only plug in to one place, its hard to screw up.
there are usually 2 power plugins on the mother board/ one for the harddrive , one for the CDdrive. make sure the fans are pluged in.
and the"straps" i think you mean the ide cables that connect the harddrive and Cd drive to the motherboard.
there is a key on them, just like there are on the power cables.

Each connector is made so you cant screw up. Look at the sizes of the connectors and make your judgement of where they go.
