i have a suzuki 185 and the is like no top end to the motor ?

I do not know the year i just got it today and there is not top end to the motor and i need to know what all i need to get ot runnin again?

i have a motor for a 185 but it dont have a piston take ur spark plug off a put ur finger where the spark plug goes and try to starts it if the piston is good then ull fell compression if it has a hole in it then u wont feel anything let me no if u need the motor i sell it to u just let me no write me here [e-mail] or [e-mail] try the 1st one though cause i never check my yahoo mail but 2 time a month

Probably piston & rings and a cylinder bore.
Remove the exhaust pipe and look inside the exhaust port with a mirror and flashlight. Any scoring of the piston or cylinder wall and/or discoloration below the rings and that's the problem.
