How do you get rid of the musty smell from a clothes washer?

You can either run a load of whites with bleach through it or try adding a cup or two of vinegar to your wash a few times a week.

Run the washer through a cycle with plain Hot water. Add a cup of Bleach to the water. This should kill the smell. If you still have a problem after this I would repeat with a cup of lemon juice.
Always leave the lid open when the washer is not in use.
