Big stereotype.
Most women I know enjoy sports just as much as a guy. Be it playing, attending a game, or watching them on TV.
The stereotype comes from the fact that many women do not appreciate their guy inviting loads of friends over for a game adn expect her to prepare all the snacks/food. But who would?

I love sports and I am a woman. I swim, play baseball, tennis, golf, bike, rollerblade, basketball, volleyball, and a lot of others. Many women are interested in sports, both my daughters watch hockey and play a lot of different sports such as soccer and track and field. My son on the other had refuses to play any sports and prefer to play music.

You need to read a paper, the internet, or get out more! I've been to the women's final four (basketball) many times (it sells out every year), had season tix to my local college womens basketball games, been to the women's world cup, been to the olympics and saw the women's soccer team play and win, seen the lpga in person, and been to numerous wnba games. I also own and use my sea kayak and canoe, camp, hike, and I use to rock climb and backpack in my 20s and 30s. I've also been a wilderness canoe guide and a ropes course instructor.

That is such an odd question, why don't men like to shop for shoes? i love sports , I watch NFL, COLLEGE BASKETBALL, HOCKEY, VOLLEYBALL, ETC. My husband and I met watching football on the t.v in a bar . We love sports, we just watched the ncaa selection show today. It is not all women. By the way , we root for two different teams in football, I did not jump on his bandwagon either.

The majority don't, but some i'd say 40% enjoy them and are even good at some. Socially, girls are not so pushed into sports as guys, and not so encouraged either.

They like it, but far less women do so, kind of like only few men like knitting. It is just that way, might be testosterone, might be something else, but at the end of the day it doesnt really matter.

In general, men project themselves in the games they watch and women watch for entertainment value. And truthfully, there is a lack entertainment value much of the time or men would watch the same games over and over.

I'm just not that interested...guys are more into the competitive stuff.
No one told me that I shouldn't be interested because I'm female. I'm just not.
