when theiy traded him to texas he had a good year,so he went to Nats and overthere he had his best season in his carrer.

Who was the last player that was a Superstar and came to the Cubs? Most of the Cubs best players were not superstars.

Here is a list of "superstar" baseball players that have signed a free agent deal with the Cubs in the prime of their careers:
1.
None. The Cubs have never done this in their history.
The only player that was close was Moises Alou, who had a bad first year with the Cubs but played well the rest of them. And Alou was past his prime when he signed.

As long as Soriano is healthy, he'll be putting up 40-40 type numbers with around 100 rbi and rs. He'll hit around .300 and play a decent, but sometimes acrobatic center field.
You've got a great talent with some experience under his belt. He'll have no problems calling Wrigley home.

He won't be a 40-40 man. He'll put up decent numbers but I don't think he'll go all out since he already got paid. And what are the Cubs thinking putting him in CF, that will be a disaster.

Off the building across the street........
The only thing that bugs me is that he is a career .160 hitter at Wrigley. I thought maybe it was just Cubs pitching but even with that avg in Chicago he has a career .289 avg against the Cubs pitching.

Soriano hit .277 last year not top 5. now he is a cub so i figure .240 sounds good. yes he will fall off and no the cubs can't buy a championship just like the yankees can't anymore. Plus he is 31 accourding to him so he is probably like 35.

Soriano is a very good player that has all around talent. I believe he will have a good year and not drop off, unless his teammates are the cause.
