that the poisen of my choice is marijuana. I know it is wrong in the community, but from my experiences and others smoking mary J is so much better and better for you than alcohal. I mean people just do not know how to smoke it anymore. All they want to do is get blazed out of their minds and that is where all the bad sterio types come from. Nothing is wrong with a couple of hits now and then to calm down and relax. Alcohal just makes people loud and obnoxious and can ruin lives. Hell ive had 2 friends die from car accidents that had to do with drinking. I smoked occassionally for a good 10 years, and now I own Homebanc and I am moking 6 digits a year.
- never made me lazy, ever
- just lightens you up and makes everyone so much easier to be around
There is nothing wrong with it looking back on my life. All these do not smoke Marijuana commercials make me sick because of all the lies. I do not encourage people to smoke, but if you do it right there is really nothing wrong with it.

Depending on where you live, the bottom line is that it is probably illegal. Blame it on a society whose 'drug of choice is alcohol.'

I'm not an advocate for breaking the law, but I agree that the focus on vilifying the 'evil weed' is retarded. I too lost friends and family to alcohol-related causes but have not yet known anyone who has succumbed to any marijuana-induced fatalities.

It is an unfortunate focus -- all that negative attention upon a relatively innocuous weed. Instead of addressing the real problems in society, they (the powers that be) use the anti-pot campaigns as a smokescreen (pardon the pun). It is a sad fact of life in many countries.

Even the positive medical benefits are shoved out of the equation, and cannot even be considered.

I haven't seen the commercials you are referring to (I don't watch TV) but if they are anything like the old 'this is your brain on drugs' campaign then it's just another case of attempted social brainwashing.

Stand up for your rights but play it safe and stay cool.

P.S. Are you a supporting member of NORML?

Smoking marijuana is just as bad as smoking cigarettes - same risks of addiction, lung cancer & heart disease.

Plus I know of one couple who have been smoking marijuana since the early 70's & they have serious memory problems.

I put it on the same level as alcohol. A substance used to 'feel' better; self-medication if you will. Only alcohol isn't addictive to most; smoking is & long-term damage is certain.

You sound more responsible than others. It isn't the smoke as much as it is the smoker.
