I've had a lot of different pets, prairie dogs, goats, birds, iguanas, fish, dogs, cats......
I enjoy my prairie dog (now illegal in many states), but they require a LOT of attention, special care, and a lot of cleaning. Definitely not easy keepers and not an animal that I would recommend as a pet unless you are retired and can play w it the whole day or provide a whole room only for him and his "pet" (my dog). But very rewarding pets with the proper care and I really love him.
I think I'm torn between chickens (hens, roos are too noisy!) and cats. They are both easy keepers, with different personalities and fun to have, and they recognize who their person is and seek their attention. Hens also give you eggs, which is a point in their favor too. Is easier to clean up after cats.... tough choice :-)

My favorite pet would definitely be pet fleas! They are so cute how they hop around on your head, and you don't have to give them food or water cause they just drink your blood. Fleas have been given a bad name over the years )= they are not as bad as you think and are really intelligent creatures if you give them a chance. I breed and sell fleas for family pets, I train them from larva to come to their names, and they are brought up with lots of love and care!

A wolf hybrid - I have an 11yr 9 month one that's a female. We also have Syrian hamsters (18), Russian dwarfs (8), mice (3), gerbils (2 for now), rats (2), rabbits (2), cats (14), dogs (2), Pygmy goat (1), red sheep (1), iguana (1), cockatiels (2), lavender king snake (1), tarantula-rose haired (1), and fish (6).

Dogs...they are the best pets. A Dog will give you the most unconditional love of any animal...and I am talking human animals too!

My ridgeback greyhound cross dog because she is so loyal and kind and sensitive. She is more like a person.
