Selling on eBay is not as easy as some portray. In fact, go to eBay and check out the number of auctions that end without a single bid. Sell things that people are buying. There are certain things that sell much better than other things. Do a search on eBay and see what sells most. Make sure that you offer good shipping rates, provide good communication between you and the buyers, be honest and provide quick shipping.
If you do these things people will keep coming back to you and therefore give you good ratings.
As for what you can sell, antiques or collectibles are a good choice (but time consuming to find) but your best bet is to sell a product that people need, use up and then need to buy more of such as things like candles, food items, ink cartridges and things like that. Mind you, you really won't get rich but some people make a good living. The more time you commit the more you might possibly make.
