Answer based on the seedings they were given. I personally think it has to be Florida although Texas tech making the tournament was a slap in the face to all of the teams that are better than them.

Duke, it's not even close. Florida coasted through the SEC tournament and is hungry for a back to back national championship. Texas Tech has had some quality wins. But Duke started out 18-3. That means they went 4-7 over their last 11 games. Don't be surprised if they lose to VCU in the first round. I actually think Syracuse deserves to be in the tourney more than Duke.

I about died when I saw that Duke got a #6 seed. I figured they would get in the tourney at a #9 seed at best. They finished 6th in the ACC and lost in the first round of the ACC tournament. Compare that to a Kentucky (yes, I'm using Kentucky) who is in just as good of a conference, who finished 4th in the SEC and actually made it past the first round of their tournament. But got saddled with an #8 seed and I even thought that was generous.

Texas Tech beat Kansas and Texas A&M twice, we can at least make that case for them. I still believe it should've been Kansas State in, but that's just how it goes. And when you've got Bobby Knight, well you've got Bobby Knight.

And Florida plays in one of the toughest conferences in the nation (2nd in RPI) and won their conference tournament by absoutely obliterating their opponents. And that "skid" they had at the end of the season, were losses to Vandy (6 seed), Tennessee (5 seed), and LSU. And they followed that skid by trouncing Kentucky in their last regular season game, then winning the tournament. They also beat Ohio State by 26 points this season. Not exactly what I'd call overrated.

People can at least make a case for Florida or Texas Tech. Everyone I've talked to since the bracket came out can't even make a case for Duke being seeded that high.

I agree with everyone to some point, but I think the most over rated team is Florida. Why you ask is because during the end of season they went on 2 out 3 losing streak. There is no way they deserved to get a #1 seed over all. You have better teams like Ohio State or Kansas(who beat Florida). I thought they might of got a 2 or 3 seed, but the only reason they got a #1 seed is because they won the National Championship last year.

Of those three teams Duke is the most overrated but barely.

Texas Tech has three wins over Top 10 teams, Texas A&M twice and KU. The highest rated team Duke beat was Georgetown way back in early December. Duke does play in a tougher conference top to bottom, so night in and night out the competition they face is superior than what Tech faces.

Tech has two guys who can score points and win games for you in Jarrius Jackson and Martin Zeno. Duke doesn't have one of those players this year.

I thought Duke would be a 7 seed based on the common sense that they are one of the 30 best teams in college basketball. And people seem to forget that, outside of ACC play, Duke beat several teams now in the tournament: Davidson, Indiana, Georgetown, Holy Cross, and Gonzaga. In the regular season, Duke lost only one game to a team that didn't make the tournament (Florida St, who also beat Florida during the regular season).

Texas Tech lost to a lot of teams not in the tourney: Baylor, Air Force, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.

You had better get your "Duke overrated" questions out to be answered now because your window of opportunity is closing. Texas Tech is by far the most overrated in this set. Florida is again a front-runner. They dominated Ohio State. Duke beat Georgetown and Gonzaga (when Heytvelt was still on the team, big loss ex. UNC). Tech is terrible. Duke's losses snowballed. Duke and Florida were locks based off of the RPI, but how Tech slipped by, I just don't know.

This year --- Duke, without question. I was watching the selection show and almost fell out of my chair when they got a #6 seed. The Devils were nothing more than a middle-of-the-pack team in the ACC this year, and got that high of a seed based on reputation only.

I would say Texas Tech because they were not certain of even making the NCAA Tournament.
