I have a microfiber cloth couch, three kids all under the age of 9, and a husband so we have lots of messes that need to be cleaned up. I use a damp to wet (not dripping wet) rag and spot clean it every so often. I have a dark green colored couch so many things aren't terribly noticable but if it's a stain I think will not come out once it dries, I get to it with the wet rag immediately. Usually I have good luck with stubborn stains by spraying a little of the Windex w/Vinegar (the clear one) directly on it using the wet rag to work out the stain. I do vacuum it every few weeks to get the crumbs but it doesn't work so well on lint so I use a dry rag to wipe it away.
If you have a microfiber suede couch then you'd probably be better off going to the manufacturer for cleaning instructions and recommendations.
