its really not all that hard. they plug in where they fit. the only things that might be the same are the mouse and keyboard, and it has little pictures of them next to where they plug in. the speakers are usually the green plug in, but like i said they all have pictures. and they just plug in to where the fit, you would have to work pretty hard to mess anything up.

Most plugs (as mentioned above) only fit in certain sockets (ports) it's not that difficult. Computers made within the past 5 years or so have also got colour codings on the rear to help match up the plugs with the ports.

If it's a new machine, it should come with an instruction sheet/unpacking info which usually has a diagram about connecting it up.

You can't do much, if any harm - just don't force anything in where it won't fit.
