As you all probably know, Antonella Barba, a contestant from American Idol who just recently got voted off, was found in some nude photos posted on the internet. American Idol did not kick her off, but they kicked off whats-her-face from season 2 (can't remember her name). Do you think that Antonella should have gotten kicked off or not?

Yes, she should have been asked to leave, but America did that for them, so it's not even an issue anymore. Let it go, and let this girl fade into obscurity.

Frenchie was kicked off for posing in lingerie on websites.
American Idol claimed that Frenchie was kicked off because she was paid for it and Antonella was not.
That is not fair.
1. Who cares who was paid and who wasn't? This show is called American IDOL. An idol does not pose half naked in public.
2. Antonella may not have gotten paid but she posed for those pictures. They were not just taken at a party or in her bedroom.
3. She took many of those pictures at the Washington DC World War 2 monument. Not only was that in bad taste but it was in PUBLIC. Something she could have gotten arrested for.
4. Frenchie's pictures (as far as I remember) were in lingerie and not nude. They were not that racy.
5. Is it based on Frenchie being a large woman and Antonella being a "hot" girl? Either way, American Idol should have been safe and kicked her off!

No I don't think she should have gotten kicked off AI for the photos that appeared on the 'net of her.
Simply because...these were personal photos of hers, actually I think it was a calendar that she paid money to have these pictures taken, have the calendar made for a boyfriends birthday present. She wasn't paid by anyone to do this.
Frenchie, the contestant that was kicked off AI in Season 2, she was paid to pose for the pictures that circulated of her.
Antonella can't sing....Frenchie can.....Frenchie GOT paid...Antonella paid herself....big difference.

After reading some of the other comments....I have to add this.....Yes an American Idol is supposed to be someone that people (teens mostly) can look up to. But.....I'm sure when Frenchie posed for those pictures, AI was only a concept in someones head...or at the very least, in the very beginning stages. People do things, that later come back to bite them in the a&&....so its not fair, to say its not fair that Frenchie got kicked off for doing the same thing Antonella did....They were entirely different situations..

Yes, Antonella should have been booted off the show...because she is not a great singer! As far as the "scandalous" photos that were posted of her, I don't feel that those photos are comparable to Frenchie's topless photos that were on an adult website that paid her for her "services." So no, Antonella should not have been kicked off because of those pictures.

I thought the issue was disclosure. Like Frenchie didn't tell them she had posed, and Antonella did. It was like how one contestant one year had a shoplifting charge, but she was upfront about it. I think the FOX publicity machine doesn't like surprises.
That said, Antonella could not sing. She was lucky to have made it this long.

It not my fault she got voted off I voted for her 15 times
friends cell phones . She is a breath of fresh air and I think the American Idol should be a total package not just a good
singer.. there are thousands of good singers out there
Come on America. Taylor Hicks Boo.. the only decent performer coming out of there is Carrie Underwood....I think to many catty American women are ratting the show I thought
Sabrina was also Great..

Yeah--in all fairness she should have been. But Antonella was a naughty cute white girl, while Frenchie was a slightly dyke-ish looking black girl who looked pro. Antonella titilliated, Frenchie was perceived as raunchy. Not fair--but that is how the producers looked at it.

A long time ago!!!!!!!!!!! She just took up a spot that some better contestants should have had! The girl can't sing, HELL I can sing better than her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a porn want-to-be contest it is suppose to be a singing contest! Why is Sangia still there? Some very talented singers got the shaft cause of those two! Bring back Sundance & Sabrina.

If the photos were professionally taken and she was nude in them. Then- yes she should have because the other contestant was kicked off. however, if they were personal photos on facebook or something i dont think she should have.

she didn't have any nude photos.. it was proven that those pics were not pics of her...
scantily clad pics were posted of her though that were meant for her boyfriend..... but my guess is that the boyfriend decided to post the pics after Antonella got on American Idol....
