For about the last three years I've averaged about 3 hours a day in the gym...six days a week. I think I may be overdoing it, but I like to remain extra fit to have an edge in life...and dating. Is this a common thing? Can people be TOO into physical appearance????

Jeepers, slow down there. Being healthy is good, but you sound obsessed. Yes, people can be too into physical appearance. I like people who are funny and great to be around. What they look like is not that relevant

I workout for about 10 hours a week. I enjoy my time there, I am hurting no-one, and it is good for me. Yes- I like how my body looks especially right after a workout, but I see no reason not to enjoy it, unless it feels like it is taking more from you than it is giving. An overweight friend told me that I was over-doing it, and I really nailed him to a wall. No overweight, smoking, drinking, stressed person is going to give me health advice.

Good for you. I wish I had the motivation. And no, I don't think one can be too into physical appearance. No way.

I think that if you have built yourself up for it over the years, it's fine.

Keep going, if it makes you feel good (and healthy), then you're doing something right :-)
