Sounds like you're having a midlife crisis. My only advice is to not do anything drastic or stupid.

Basically until the kids are out the house, you are stuck. However, you can do things to enhance your life... the thing
is to decide what you want to do - what gives you pleasure, what interests you. You can start a hobby (that could grow into a home business).
The big thing is to find satisfaction in what you have achieved and realize that you have quite a few more years ahead that you can realize any goals that you set now.
You just have to grab control and take possession of your own life.
I've been there too... it does get better.

I know how you feel; I'm 42...inside you don't feel any older, yet everyday you look in the mirror and see that time passes too quickly...you remind yourself that you only live once - you try to be happy with what you have, and the next thing you know is that those darn, women-in-their-forties-feelings are catching up with you again!!!
The last year for me was the best in my life as long as I can remember, but I do feel what you are saying...we love our kids, yes, wouldn't want to be without 'em but then you are so scared that you've done so much for others, and where am I?

Change is hard. I personally like to get my hair cut or a pedicure with a bright heinous color, you know, a real treat, to do something different on the outside. Because changing the outside is easier than changing anything else.

Change is hard. Take a look around and see what small ones you can make to make you feel better. The small stuff can start big changes to the big stuff.

Good luck.

You need to accept the Lord Jesus as your Savior, and things will suddenly look different. Don't just dismiss this - it is the truth. Visit a church and ask God to guide you to the one He wants you to visit. You won't be disappointed. There's nothing like an encounter with the Almighty.

Sometimes you just have to die to yourself anf find happiness in serving others. The Bible says that the one who is least of all is greatest.
